The 35 Propaganda Myths of SNP ‘Scottish Independence’

V.s.

The 35 realities of ‘Scottish Regional Separation’ under Public International Law

Champagne Nationalism in the Sky

Introduction – The million-pound jackpot of being elected as an MP or MSP in the UK, & the sudden growth of the Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP) in the early 00’s

(with the ‘independence, independence, independence’
& 'yes, yes, yes' mantra)

‘Rarely if ever does it happen that people of low standing suddenly move to high standing without deploying the use of violence or dishonesty’ Nicollo Machiavelli

It is well-known that when any political candidate is successfully elected as an MP or MSP in the UK it is the equivalent of a lottery jackpot. With this MP/MSP public office appointment comes exorbitant financial entitlements during their 5 year Parliamentary term of:

• all living expenses paid, including entry to opulent red carpet events & jet-setting holidays abroad;
• these living expenses particularly include 2 mortgages of a 1st property in their constituency & a 2nd property the city of London or Edinburgh near the Parliament (giving a property portfolio worth at least £500k-£1m at the end of the term);
• a ‘salary’ of at least £92k per year - which goes straight into their bank account because all ‘expenses’ are paid, giving them a savings account of £250k by the end of their term;
• committee membership fees of £10k’s;
• potential £30K+ more as a Minister or Shadow Minister;
• “lobbying fees” of thousands to vote a certain way on Parliamentary Bills through the ‘party whip’;
• lobbying fees directly from people & organisations to make submissions in Parliamentary debates (legislation is for sale in the UK);
• consultancy fees of thousands to Ministers & Shadow Ministers;
• 2nd jobs on boards of ‘Charities’, ‘Speaker’ event tours, & a host of Honourary positions using their ‘Right Honourable’ title;
• a ‘golden handshake’ of £100k upon retirement from politics;
• and a gold-plated pension of £25k+ paid annually on retirement as a politician.

Any MSP or MP walks away after a single term with a net worth of £1m+ (at least). MP’s & MSP’s are guaranteed this £1m even if they do not attend 1 single Parliamentary debate nor assist a single constituent with a problem during this term. It is the MPs & MSPs who pass legislation determining their own astronomical salaries - naturally they ‘democratically’ agree that they are to get paid £1m without a single obligation to do any work whatsoever - who wouldn’t ‘vote’ for a contract of £1m income without any obligation to even turn up let alone work?!. Politics in the UK is a multi-million pound gravy train for MSPs & MPs.

This ‘Who wants to be a millionaire?’ UK election process is believed to have been the SNP’s motivation to come up with propaganda about Scottish ‘independence’. Then they are believed to have implemented this propaganda in political campaigns to win elections & climb aboard the UK politics gravy train. Using propaganda purely to win votes which does not accord with reality is not uncommon in UK politics, nor indeed politics anywhere in the world. Use of propaganda to win elections is what is known technically as ‘demagoguery’, & the trick is getting the electorate to believe the propaganda.

The position is put to you that the SNP have successfully implementated a ‘demagoguery’ operation to brainwash millions of Scots with ‘independence’ propaganda about the ‘utopia’ that Scotland starting a new country from scratch would be, but actually under public international starting a new country from scratch is an “Everestian” task & a hellish existence. When millions of people in society are successfully brainwashed with false information this is known technically as ‘The Mandela Effect’, & the position is put to you that a 'Mandela Effect' has taken place in Scotland over 'independence' propaganda.

Explained below are the SNP’s 35 biggest ‘independence’ propaganda myths contrasted against the 35 realities of this under public international law. Then ‘You be the jury’!

Decide your verdict on this question - have the SNP brainwashed the Scottish people with myths about ‘Scottish independence’ which are not actually the legal position under public international law? Everyone has been brainwashed at some point in their lives when they believed in Santa Claus - all human beings have an 'Achilles Heel' in their minds of being able to be brainwashed by people in authority. Is 'independence' like Santa Claus£ for gullible Scottish adults? Are Scots expecting trillions & trillions in assets to be gifted to them through 'independence', but when you think it through in a mature & sophisticated way it is actually laughably impossible?

Whether 'independence' is actually a legal entitlement as a point of public international law is currently before the United Nations. If you seek to read the other side of the argument on this matter, follow this link to the website: Liberation Scotland.

It must be emphasised that you should try to read the Liberation Scotland website. After decades of this, we (meaning protagonists on both sides) have to get to the bottom of this 'independence' matter using a professional methodology with objective interpretations of public international law. This Article is an attempt to do this to deconstruct how & why the whole 'independence' campaign is a load of non-legal nonsense.

Material historical facts & key public international law sources

Before ‘deep diving’ to forensically deconstruct the 35 myths of Scottish ‘independence’ vs the 35 realities of it under public international law, it is important to have a basic working knowledge of landmark historical facts in the UK (especially simplifying the geopolitics), and an awareness of the key sources of public international relevant to ‘independence’. These material facts are understood to be agreed by the ‘independence’ campaigners so there is a common factual basis. What is in disagreement between protagonists on both sides is the interpretation of public international law sources related to 'independence'.

Landmark historical facts:

• In 1707 ‘Great Britain’ was formed - this was a merger of Scotland with England & Wales - this island for strategic reasons became the same social system;
• There was no armed conflict whatsoever prior to this;
• The English Power-brokers transferred a large sum of money to the Scottish Power-brokers as payment for this;
• London became the capital of Great Britain & most key public services were run from there – Britain was a large social system with fiscal stability for core public services;
• These public services included the English Central Bank setting the currency for all transactions on the island to facilitate commerce on a single marketplace;
• This arrangement worked successfully for 300 years & allowed the island of Britain to become one of the most prosperous places to live on planet earth;
• Together Scotland & England as partners in the British armed forces colonised large parts of the world to form ‘The British Empire’ (like many countries Britain has a colonial past);
• Geopolitically Britain has a population of around 70 million people & in Scotland there are around 5.5 million people (Scots total circa 8% of Britain’s population);
• 60% of Britain’s most lucrative natural resources are in the region of Scotland;
• This 60% of natural resources includes - ‘North Sea Oil’, ‘Renewable energy’ (wind & wave which even in the early stages is enough to sustainably power the electricity in all the homes in England & Wales forever), ‘Reservoirs of Drinking Water’ (enough to last 1 million years), & ‘Fisheries’;
• These natural resources in the Scottish region are worth trillions & trillions;
• Scotland's geopolitical ratio is extremely favourable;
• In 2007, the 300 year anniversary of Britain’s birth, the SNP political party were elected as the Scottish Government;
• The SNP have sought to enforce a political campaign which they self-title as ‘independence’, with allegedly the ultimate aim of removing Scotland from Britain;
• This has sparked modern-day debate about the public international law, macro-economics, & geopolitical consequences of a Scottish separation from Britain;
• British citizens living in a foreign country designated as ‘hostile’ get their British passport & citizenship removed and they do not get this back.

There are of course endless other peripheral facts, but those are believed to be the need-to-know material facts on this matter.

Below are the 35 SNP myths of ‘independence’ contrasted against the 35 realities of public international law. These are done with a broad-brushed parlance & not with overly technical fine-point legalese. These are intended to be able to be read & understood by everyone in a ‘jury’ type of arrangement.

If anyone nonetheless seeks to research further details on the exact legal position to engage in legalese over this matter, then here is the core list of laws that apply.

Public International Law relevant to this matter:

1. Common Law Prerogative (The default administrative law in Britain if there is no legislation - 1707);
2. The Acts of Union (1707);
3. UN Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples (1960);
4. UN Maritime Laws, (1967);
5. The Vienna Convention on Succession of States in Respect of Treaties (1978);
6. The Scotland Act 1998;
7. MacCormick v Secretary of State for Scotland, (1953, SC 396);
8. REFERENCE by the Lord Advocate of devolution issues under paragraph 34 of Schedule 6 to the Scotland Act 1998 ([2022] UKSC 31);
9. Begum, R. (on the application of) v Special Immigration Appeals Commission & Anor [2021] UKSC 7.

The 35 Propaganda 'Independence' Myths
V.s.
The 35 Realities of Public International Law

1.

The myth that there is a ‘Project Fear’ against the SNP’s ‘Scottish Independence’ campaign & it is only cowardly ‘Quisling’ Scots who do not support it;

The reality that Scottish regional separation invokes the academic disciplines of public international law & geopolitics, with a macro-economics attempt to crunch the financial numbers for this – this debate has to be about an objective ‘Project Reality’ to professionally attain as much understanding of these subjects as possible, & gain a clear mountain-top overview of the consequences of ‘independence’

‘One defeats a fanatic by not being a fanatic oneself, but on the contrary by using one’s common sense and intelligence’, George Orwell

2.

The myth that the ‘United Kingdom’ means a group of 4 nations - the ‘United Kingdom of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland’;

The reality that the United Kingdom means the group of 2 nations - ‘United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland’ (there are the only 2 names on the British passport) – Britain & Northern Ireland are the only 2 countries/nations in this arrangement

‘Be not caught by the cunning of those who appear in disguise’, Horace

3.

The myth that Scotland is a ‘country’;

The Reality that Scotland is technically not a country, because since the 1707 Acts of Union Scotland has been a ‘Region’ of the ‘Country’ of Great Britain (Britain is a unitary country, and not a confederation, as affirmed by the UKSC)

‘A lie repeated often enough becomes the truth’, Proverb

4.

The Myth that England is a Country;

The Reality that England too is a merely a ‘Region’ of the ‘Country’ of Great Britain under the 1707 Acts of Union by the exact same logic - at the Olympics Scotland & England are not allowed to enter separate teams of athletes because it is well-established that the Olympic Committee correctly deems them to be regions from the same ‘Nation’ of ‘Britain’ – UEFA & FIFA (international football authorities) make an exception to allow Scotland & England to compete against other countries at football because it was Scotland & England who invented & founded the game of football, but UEFA & FIFA do not let referees from Scotland & England referee teams from each other’s league because they are deemed to be from the same 'nation' with a conflict of interest.

‘If 50 million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing’, Bertrand Russell

5.

The myth that the 1707 Acts of Union are an international treaty between 2 existing countries of Scotland & England;

The reality that the 1707 Acts of Union are a domestic Constitutional Act where 2 ‘former countries’, Scotland & England, merged to create the ‘new country’ of Britain with the whole island 1 unitary country (Britain is like the child of England & Scotland) –this formation of Britain was standard process for how virtually all countries across the world have been formed over the past 1000 years

‘The aim of the wise is not to secure pleasure but to avoid pain’, Aristotle

6.

The Myth that the Scottish Region would be voting for ‘Independence’;

The reality that under the 1978 UN Treaty on the Succession of States, the Scottish region would be voting for a process named ‘separation’ - ‘independence’, the ‘buzz word’ repeated billions of times by the SNP in Scotland, is not even technically the correct name for this process under public international law

‘The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name’, Confucious

7.

The Myth that England ‘Annexed’ Scotland as its colony in 1707;

The reality that there was no armed struggle & no violence at all between Scottish & English armies before they agreed the 1707 Act of Union, with literally not even 1 single English soldier setting foot in Scotland, rather English power-brokers viewed it as a wise strategic move for the whole island to be the same country (with the Scottish power-brokers agreeing with the logic), & paid handsomely for this arrangement to come into effect – this total absence of any armed conflict at all means Scotland does not meet the ICJ criteria for ‘annexation’ under the UN Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples (1960) (the Scottish power-brokers were bought & sold by English gold in 1707)

‘We’re bought and sold for English gold, what a parcel of rogues in a nation’, Rabbie Burns

8.

The Myth that a Region like Scotland Has a Right to ‘secede’ from Great Britain under international law if it holds a ‘democratic’ ‘Referendum’ declaring so;

The reality that under public international law these secession rights do not exist - no state, region, city, island, town, street, nor even high-rise flat occupying land with a favourable geopolitical position within a country (such a street discovering there is a diamond mine beneath it), can hold a ‘referendum’ purposing to separate the land they occupy from the country to form a new country on it, then demand it is ‘democracy’ for this to be allowed, with this being deeply delusional nonsense without any basis in international law as there are no general ‘secession’ rights in the UN Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples (1960) for people occupying land to do a vote & then form their own country on the land

‘Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it’, Proverb

9.

The myth that the Brit-Scots of the Scottish Region, who make up 8% of the British population, would be legally entitled to keep the 60% of extremely lucrative British resources located in the Scottish region;

This is the crux of this matter & the heart of the SNP propaganda – the stark reality is that Brit-Scots only make up 8% of Britain’s population, so according to the UN Maritime Laws, (1967) and The Vienna Convention on Succession of States in Respect of Treaties (1978), their entitlement to British land after separation would be their 8% per capita share of Britain (at best) - not the full 60% of resources currently in the resource rich Scottish region

‘The bigger the lie, the easier it is to believe’, Proverb

10.

The myth that the borders of the Scottish ‘Region’ would remain the same size after it converted into a ‘Country’;

Let’s cut to the chase here which is working out what the land settlement would be - the reality is that if Scotland converted from a ‘Region’ into a ‘Country’ its borders would shrink dramatically – based on its best case scenario 8% per capita share of Britain, separated Scotland would lose lucrative ‘offshore’ water assets, ‘North sea oil’, ‘Reservoirs of Drinking Water’, ‘Fisheries’, & ‘Wind & Wave Renewable Energy’ etc, which would all remain part of Britain, and at best Scotland would only get the onshore land (Scotland transitioning from ‘Region’ to ‘Country’ would shrink its borders & it would be a horrifying transmogrification of Scotland)

‘Hope of ill gain is the beginning of loss’, Democritus

11.

The myth that the oil in the North Sea is ‘Scotland’s oil’;

The Reality that this follows on from the previous myth, but it must be unequivocally affirmed that under public international law this is not ‘Scotland’s oil’ but ‘Britain’s oil’ (the same way as it is British Water, British Renewable Energy etc) - it is 99.99% certain that after a regional separation deal was negotiated Scotland would not get this North Sea Oil (nor the reservoirs, nor the fisheries, nor the renewable energy) within its borders, & all this would firmly remain the property of Britain, with Scotland landlocked (if necessary the British Armed Forces would patrol & protect the water based assets worth trillions & trillions after separation)

‘If it seems too good to be true, it’s probably because it is’, Scottish Proverb

‘A Government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have’, Thomas Jefferson

12.

The Myth that Scotland came so close to ‘independence’ in the 2014 Referendum and ‘The Next Referendum’ could be the one that gets this process over the line;

The reality is that the 2014 Referendum only said, ‘Should Scotland be an independent country?’ – this was only a mandate for the SNP to negotiate a separation land settlement from Britain, then there would have been a 2nd ‘Referendum’ put to the Scottish people of, ‘Do you accept this land settlement offer to formally separate from Britain?’, which is when the penny would have finally dropped for Scots (even the most brainwashed supporters of ‘independence’) that the SNP had been hoodwinking them for years in a demagoguery operation with the shrunken land settlement then unanimously rejected by Scots – the 2014 Referendum was a grandstanding political show

(this would only have been a real Referendum if the names of Scots voting ‘yes’ were taken, with a Scot voting ‘yes’ having to hand over their British passport, knowing that they would lose all rights including their British VISA/bank-account)

‘In politics, stupidity is not a handicap’, Napoleon

‘There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship’, Thomas Aquinas

13.

The myth that after separation the financial size of Scotland’s settlement would be dictated by established UN maritime law;

The reality that these UN maritime laws do not apply to regions separating away from a country seeking to enforce a favourable geopolitical position (Scotland would not even be a UN member after separation, so it could not rely on a UN Treaty it was not a signatory to), rather the 'purpose' of this Treaty is only to regulate marginal technical disputes between existing UN member countries – Scotland’s land settlement would fall by default into the British Government’s common law ‘Prerogative’ (absolute power) and this is how it would be determined

‘To understand the world as it, not as we should wish it to be, is the beginning of wisdom’, Bertrand Russell

14.

The Myth that there is a Court to regulate disputes between Scotland and Britain over any 'continental shelf' land settlement after 'independence';

The reality that the only Court with standing to make any sort of determination in this matter would be the ‘International Court of Justice’ (ICJ), but its Judgments are ‘voluntary’ for countries to follow & not supported by any coalition military force, so basically ICJ Judgments are worthless in any serious matter – there is in reality no Court to regulate this matter

‘Government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us, binds us to its great power to harm us’, Ronald Reagan

15.

The Myth that after regional separation was confirmed all current Scots residents would automatically become Scottish as their first nationality & remain British as their second nationality, or vice versa;

The reality that a Scot voting for ‘independence’ in a Referendum is the de facto giving up of their British passport & the return of this to immigration authorities (e.g. Shamima Begum & Scotland would be treated like this too) – voting for ‘independence’ is a vote to bin the British passport & jettison all of the rights that come with it, like the NHS, pensions, child tax credits, a bank account & VISA with money ultimately controlled by the English Central Bank, & the right to enter other countries on presentation of the British passport

‘Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance’, Martin Luther King

16.

The myth that it is in the EU’s interests to let separated Scotland into the EU, which could circumvent all public international laws with Scotland an EU state;

The reality that it is 99.9% certain regionally separated Scotland would not be allowed into the EU (the SNP also held meetings with the EU & were informed of this) – to do so opens a Pandora’s Box of problems for the EU, with Catalonia of Spain, Flanders of Belgium, and many other wantaway European regions etc likely to seek to do the same if Scotland was allowed to do so smoothly – regional separation political parties are the last people the EU want to give impetus to in Europe (see 'regional separation' parties voted into political power ahead of the establishment political parties), meaning it is 99%+ certain Scotland would not be allowed into the EU

‘For he who initiates something new will have for his enemies all those who are well off under the existing order of things’, Nicolo Machiavelli

17.

The Myth that the Scottish Region would be doing what many other places in the world have already done previously if it were to separate;

The reality that there are approximately 196 countries in the world, but there is not a single one of them which underwent ‘radical regional separation’ in peacetime to transform into the country they are - Scotland would be the guinea pig for this - if the region of Scotland set a Frankenstein-esque precedent to raise itself from the dead of 1707 & become ‘a nation again’, any region of any country in the world could follow suit to increase the number of countries in the world from 196 to 1000’s (if what the SNP are saying about public international law is actually correct then it could literally change the face of the entire world)

‘I am about to take my last voyage, a great leap in the dark’, Thomas Hobbes

‘Example isn’t another way to teach, it is the only way to teach’, Albert Einstein

18.

The myth Scotland that if Scotland did leave Great Britain, it would succeed as signatory to all the international treaties Great Britain currently is & required to be an established country automatically (needed to function in the globally connected modern world);

The reality that Scotland would have to re-enter every single treaty across the world, including even the United Nations (UN) Treaty (where for the same reasons as the EU it would be 99%+ unlikely to get into the UN either), so separated Scotland upon first creation would be a landlocked ‘open air prison’, and the country it would be most comparable to would be Palestine

‘There is no danger greater than underestimation’, Laozi

‘For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence - on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations’, John F. Kennedy

19.

The myth that that the Sovereign Scottish Parliament of pre-1707 was reconvened under the Scotland Act 1998;

The reality that the current ‘Scottish Parliament’ is just a statutory body & an elaborately named ‘Regional Assembly’ ’Quango’ – it is a symbol of the past but does not raise this institution from the dead - the Westminster Parliament (a real Sovereign Parliament) could repeal the Scotland Act 1998 tomorrow & pull the plug on this, like it can do with any Quango, then sell off the building as offices

‘People don’t want to hear the truth because they do not want their illusions destroyed’, Friedrich Nietzsche

20.

The myth that the SNP ‘care’ about Scotland by waving their Saltires & are ‘stronger for Scotland’, ‘standing up for Scotland’, ‘Scotland’s best interests at heart’ etc;

The reality that the SNP is all about ‘business’ & getting their hands on the million-pound MP & MSP salary jackpots - the SNP whole marketing strategy is based upon tacky slogans, props, & gimmicks - any intelligent person knows that the SNP stands for 'Scottish Nationalism Pounds' & it is frankly gullible people who think it means anything more than that

‘The broad masses of a population are more appealable to rhetoric than to any other force’, Proverb

‘You want the truth, follow the money’, Roxanne Bland

21.

The myth that the Scots have been ‘awakened’ by the SNP about Scotland’s potential;

The reality that the SNP were formed in the 1934 with an 'Odal' symbol as their party badge & the mainly anti-Catholic & anti-Irish purpose of kicking all Irish immigrants out of Scotland in a mass deportation, and for decades in the 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s & 90’s, generation after generation of Scots rejected the SNP’s nationalism mask as demagoguery – it is only the current generations of modern Scots (glued to their mobile phones & viewing nationalist marketing propaganda on social media) who have been seduced & entranced by the SNP’s Saltires, 'yes, yes, yes' & ‘independence, independence, independence’ operation

‘Much that passes as idealism is a disguised love of power & money’, Bertrand Russell

22.

The myth that the SNP leaders are experts on the cause of ‘independence’ and capable of giving rational opinions about the objective merits of Scottish regional separation;

The reality that, (1) the late Alex Salmond, John Swinney and Nicola Sturgeon were all groomed in the SNP from adolescence, so they are deeply brainwashed with all this propaganda themselves, and also, any person who advances in the SNP organisation to political candidate status has been there for many years in order to prove their ‘devotion’ to ‘independence’, so they are brainwashed about this cause too (as well as financially motivated by the £1m carrot of election to be brainwashed about it so they can brainwash the electorate in return) & not providing Scots with the objective truth about it either, and, (2) The reality that Sturgeon, Swinney, & Salmond et all did average at University, but they are the furthest thing from super-geniuses on these subjects of public international law, macroeconomics & geopolitics, the key objective academic disciplines pertinent to this cause, so they do not speak from any position of advanced objective intellectualism in this cause

‘The chief cause of human error is to be found in the prejudices picked up in childhood’, Rene Descartes

‘A fanatic, either political or religious, is the subject of strong delusions’, Richard Whately

23.

The Myth that the SNP could give 650 ‘answers’ about the effects of Scottish ‘independence’ in their 2013 ‘White Paper’ before the 2014 Referendum;

The reality that any ‘Paper’ on regional separation (or ’independence’), is not ‘answers’ but ‘speculation’ about the public international law, macro-economics, & geopolitical effects of this – in law, economics, & geopolitics everything said is forecast speculation about future events effects, where it is impossible to give absolute 100% ‘answers’ (the most certainty that can be given is 99%), so to call a ‘White Paper’ on such an enormously polemical & unpredictable cause like this ‘100% answers’ is insanity

‘It is not the truth that matters but victory. When the victor is crowned people will not be asking how he did it’, Proverb

24.

The myth that Scotland’s separation is comparable to Ireland or other former commonwealth countries of the British Empire;

The reality that Ireland & other former commonwealth countries were colonised by Scots as part of the British empire - the SNP’s attempts to associate Scotland with these countries is frankly a brazen attempt to re-write history

‘Who controls the present controls the past; who controls the past controls the future;’, George Orwell

25.

The Myth that Scottish Regional Separation is Comparable to the UK’s EU Independence Referendum;

The reality that the UK withdrawing from the EU was merely a country withdrawing from a ‘trade association’ (a customs & tariffs exemption union with a Court enforcement system) – similar to the Commonwealth or GATT- it is not that big a deal for an established country to leave (or re-enter) a trade association of countries like the EU, and it just leaves businesses paying more in tax through border tariffs & it is nothing like a region withdrawing from a country to form a new country from scratch - comparing the EU referendum to the Scottish referendum is like comparing climbing a Munro to climbing Everest

‘False analogies leads to intemperate choices & flawed decision making’, Jerome Groopman

26.

The Myth of Scottish separation being comparable to Quebec;

The reality that Canada’s Constitution of 1867 expressly contains an unequivocal withdrawal clause affirming that states like Quebec could withdraw from it (a clause which is not in the 1707 Acts of Union), thereby making Canada a ‘Confederation’ & an exceptional situation not applicable to Scotland (this has already been adjudicated upon by the UK Courts in the MacCormick & Lord Advocate cases)

‘Politics have no relation to reality’, Nicolo Machiavelli

27.

The myth that separation settlement negotiations between Great Britain and the Scottish region would run smoothly;

The reality that Scotland separating from Britain would be an acrimonious divorce process over the trillions of pounds worth of natural assets, & it would change Scotland & England from "old-friends" to "arch-enemies"

‘Friends provoked become the bitterest of enemies’, Baltasar Gracian

28.

The Myth that in separated Scotland the new Government would suddenly be democratically accountable to the Scottish people;

The reality that the level of disconnect between the people of Scotland & the Holyrood Parliament is the exact same level of disconnect as between the people of Scotland & the Westminster Parliament - the suggestion that ordinary people would suddenly have influence over legislation in separated Scotland is ludicrous & naïve beyond belief

‘All propaganda has to be popular and accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach’, Proverb

29.

The myth that after regional separation ‘Scotland’s future will be in its own hands’;

The reality that Scotland’s future is already in its own hands through devolution with s30 of the Scotland Act 1998 – under s30 the Scottish Parliament can apply for an exception to pass absolutely any legislative Act in any non-devolved area any time they want, but the Scottish Parliament rarely (unless it is transgenderism or 'independence' referendums) relies on s30 to introduce legislation (because it doesn’t have any ideas for this) – this ‘independence’ process is simply fanaticism & not borne from a natural practical need

‘A wise man proportions his beliefs to the evidence’, David Hume

30.

The myth that separated Scotland would carry out the public sector jobs currently done at British level to the same standard;

There are so many cornerstone public services provided by the British public authorities for all British citizens to allow them to get on with life in a free market economy, like central banking, VISA’s & currency and secret services intelligence & armed forces, to ensure that Scots have their money in safe bank accounts as well as ensure that they are safe from organised crime, hostile foreign actors, & just general evil, and it would be an acutely painful teething process to try to introduce these

‘Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes’, Oscar Wilde

‘History in general only informs us of what bad government is’, Thomas Jefferson

31.

The myth that Scottish people could travel freely into Britain if the Scottish region separated;

The stark reality that after separation there would almost certainly be extreme hatred between Scotland & Britain - lots of individuals & groups would be proscribed - a ‘hard border’ between Britain & Scotland patrolled by the British army, navy, & immigration officers carrying guns would be inevitable

‘Tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip’, Winston Churchill

‘Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realise there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you’, Lao Tzu

32.

The myth that the NHS would remain at the same level in separated Scotland;

The reality that the NHS is funded by the Chancellor of the British Government making gigantic bank transfers of billions of British Pounds into the banks of Scottish NHS trustees to finance this, with these billions in English/British pounds used to pay for all the Doctors & Nurses salaries and the eyewatering medicine bills of Pharmaceutical companies – if Scotland separated from Britain then there would be no one to pay for the doctors, nurses, & medicine, so the NHS would collapse & the hospitals would empty

‘By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda one can make people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise’, Proverb

‘Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others’, Cicero

33.

The Myth that that current Scots dependent on the British welfare state to pay billions in pensions, child tax credits, benefits, PIP etc into their bank accounts would continue to have these sent to them by the foreign British Government after Scottish separation;

The reality that Scotland’s large welfare bill would be a pressing issue for the Westminster Parliament, & they would legislate that any British citizen living in Scotland would not be entitled to the payment of any benefits from Britain - pensions, child tax credits, Universal credit, PIP etc would all cease with virtually immediate effect

‘The death of dogma is the birth of reality’, Immanuel Kant

34.

The myth that Britain would allow Scotland to use the British pound after separation;

The reality that there is almost certainly no way the English Central Bank when inflating money into the UK banking & financial system would send their newly inflated money & mint into the banks of a then foreign country like Scotland – Scotland would have to undergo the Everestian task of starting its own VISA & currency system, the value of which would be a fraction of the value of the British/English pound

‘He who controls the money supply of a nation, controls the nation’, James A. Garfield

‘Economic crises are the times that try men’s souls’, Thomas Paine

‘An unemployed existence is a worse negation of life than death itself’, Jose Ortega y Gasset

The myth that the ‘bottom line’ is Scotland’s public finances would be better off financially after regional separation;

The reality that is impossible to do anything like ‘true & fair accounting’ on what Scotland’s macro-economics financial position would be after a separation because, (i) Scotland do not even know what currency they would be using if they went underwent regional separation, (ii) Scotland do not even know what land borders & natural assets their new country would have, & (iii) Scotland do not even have any idea over what businesses would remain in Scotland after a regional separation, & what businesses would up sticks & leave (oil companies, banks, energy etc would leave) – Scottish independence as things stand frankly looks distinctly like a ‘get rich quick’ ‘scam’ where the gullible Scots don't get the trillions in assets & instead get poorer whilst the SNP who sold it become millionaires

‘A get rich quick scheme never works’, Jordan Belfort, The Wolf of Wall Street

Conclusion

‘Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful’, George Orwell

The jury is now out for you to have the final verdict on this, & then cast your vote in the ballot box on voting day. The position is put to you that 'independence' is Santa Claus£ for adults - Scotland are never going to be gifted the trillions & trillions of pounds worth of assets - all that happens is that SNP politicians become millionaire Politicians by lots of Scots believing this.

This is ultimately just an interpretation of public international law. It is important that we do get the correct interpretation of public international law, so indeed you may also seek to read a website like ‘Liberation Scotland’ to get the opposite view on the position under public international law before making your mind up. You can follow this link to their website: Liberation Scotland.

Of all the points you have read though, do particularly bear in mind point 14 above... By way of reminder this point is that there is no International Court to even enforce whose position over these trillions & trillions of pounds worth of assets is right. The British Governent's Prerogative would determine this, then the British Armed Forces would uphold it.

For avoidance of any doubt though, please do not mistake this discourse as an attack on the SNP because it is not. It is simply explaining how the SNP are ‘champagne nationalists’ who use baseless ‘nationanalism’ propaganda to win votes to get their hands on the £1m+ MP & MSP salaries, but this is indeed the same way that all the other political parties in the UK do too. Labour can be called the ‘champagne socialists’ (no intent of implemeting socialism), the Greens the ‘champagne environmentalists’ (no intent of implementing a green revolution), and the Liberal Democrats the ‘champagne liberalists’ (no intent of letting free market forces take their effect) etc. It is hoped that you now recognise that all UK political parties use ‘Champagne’ policies of some form or another, including indeed the SNP as the ‘Champagne Nationalists’. The only party who arguably does not use propaganda is the Conservative Party, because as the saying goes their name has ‘Con’ with a capital ‘C’ at the start of it. Noble politicians in any political party are the rarity & the exception.

All that said you have to support some Party & believe in its ‘champagne’ propaganda captured in its fairytale Manifestoes to enchant the British electorate… So please don’t let this put you off supporting the SNP or indeed any other political party. When it comes to politics, pick whatever propaganda fairytale vision for society you find most entertaining, or, if I may make a suggestion to you - just vote for whatever candidate you think is the best human being & who cares what party they are from. But please do not be under the illusion that anything any political party in the UK says (including the SNP) is actually the truth – they are all just highfaluting a load of champagne propaganda to win the popular vote so that they get their hands on the £1m jackpot MP & MSP salaries.

‘One of the reasons people hate politics is that truth is rarely a politician’s objective. Election and power are’, Cal Thomas

Politics in the UK is not the truth; politics in the UK is a never-ending & perpetually repeating demagoguery game. UK political parties win votes & elections by a charasmatic leader spear-heading the most potent & powerfully implemented demagoguery operation, not by truth. Demagoguery is the ‘Achilles heel’ of modern democracy & the leitmotif left with you is that there is no clearer example of this than the SNP.

‘So if we lie to the Government it’s a felony. But if they lie to us it’s politics’, Bill Murray

‘All the world is a stage and all those on it but merely players’, William Shakespeare
