Rule of thumb: What happens if a doctor indecently assaults a patient? This is a very serious criminal offence.

Judgment:

‘Patients put their trust in health professionals. They are prepared to subject themselves to intimate examination, in some cases penetration of private parts, for the purposes of their medical care. A health professional who abuses that trust by indecent assaults perpetrated for his own sexual gratification must expect to be severely dealt with by the Court’, paragraph 16
